Northwest Denver stretches from the Victorian streets of the Highlands, with their protected historic districts, out to Sloan’s Lake. At about 177 acres, the lake is the centerpiece of a 290-acre park, the second largest in the city.

The area has changed quickly, and the housing shows it. Nancy has worked on both sides of the market here, from townhomes in Jefferson Park and Sloan’s Lake to a house in West Highland.

The houses

Original Victorians and bungalows sit next to contemporary townhomes, sometimes on the same block. Perry Row at Sloans, where Nancy sold 1555 Perry Street in 2020, is typical of the newer stock: contemporary finishes and a private deck with city views, one block from the lake.

Around the neighborhood

West 32nd Avenue and Tennyson Street hold most of the neighborhood’s shops and restaurants. The lake has been a destination for a long time. Manhattan Beach, one of Denver’s first amusement parks, opened on its north shore in 1891.
